Interest from American investors in Greece’s Golden Visa programme has risen sharply, with demand increasing by around 49% over the past year, according to analysis from Enness Global.
The programme continues to attract high-net-worth individuals seeking greater global mobility and long-term security, with many viewing residency as a strategic “Plan B” rather than a permanent relocation. Greece remains one of the few major European markets still offering real estate-linked residency, alongside a new startup investment route introduced to attract entrepreneurs.
Robinson says that geopolitical uncertainty and changing global mobility trends are encouraging affluent buyers to diversify both their lifestyle and investment exposure, with demand driven by flexibility, Schengen access, and long-term optionality.
